Custom fields are used to display additional information about a product on its product page, such as instructions or warranty information. To use custom fields, you need to create a custom field in the product catalog, add a to the product page where you want to display the custom field content, then connect the to the custom field in the product catalog.
Create Custom Field
To create a custom field:
In the side panel, click eCommerce.
Click Store Management, then click Manage products.
Click the desired product to open it.
In the Custom fields section, click +Add custom field.
Type a title. This cannot be the same as another field, such as the product name or description.
Use the Content type drop down menu to select the field type. Currently, text is the only field type available. We plan to add more field types in the future.
Click Add.
Add content to the custom field you just created.
Click Save.
Once you create a custom field for one product it is added to the product catalog for all products. The custom field will only display on product pages when there is a value assigned to the custom field for that specific product.
Connect Custom Field to Widget
You need to add a text to the product page to define where you want the content from your custom text field to display. The added must correspond to the content type of the custom field. For example, if you added a text field, you need to add a text . After adding the , you need to connect it to the custom field you created.
To connect a custom field to a :
In the side panel, click eCommerce, then click Store Pages.
Click Product Page.
In the side panel, click Widgets.
Drag and drop the desired onto your Product page.
Right click the and select Connect to data.
Use the drop down menu to select the custom field you created previously.
Click Done.
