Media Slider Widget

The Media Slider widget offers video, image, and text-only slide options as well as a variety of layouts. With the many settings and design options, there is also a wide range of possible configurations. This widget can be used for just about any type of content. While the possibilities are nearly endless, to name a few: Testimonials, FAQs, product presentations, a team section, and services. A slider can also be an effective tool to deliver interactive, organized content to site visitors.

To add the Media Slider widget:

1. In the left panel, click Widget.

2. Click and drag the widget into your site.

Media Slider Content

To access the content editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Content.

Add Slides

To add media to the slider, click Add new slide. This creates a new slide and opens the new slide’s settings. You have the following options:

• Add desired media. Select Click to add media to open the Media Library. Once media is added, a field will appear for Alt text. You can either type your own alt text or click the Sparkle () icon to use the AI Assistant to generate alt text. Repeat for each individual piece of media in the Media Slider. The Sparkle icon will be disabled if no media is selected.

    You must be on a Team plan or higher and have AI permissions to use the AI Assistant.

    Alt text generated by the AI Assistant is in the same language as the page’s current language.

• Text you would like to display on the slide.

• A button. This can also be switched to a link.

To switch a button to a link:

1. Click the slide you would like to switch from a button to a link. This will open the slide’s settings.

2. Click Button to open the section.

3. Click the toggle for the Display as button setting.

Edit Slides

In the Media Slider Content, click the slide you would like to edit. The slide’s settings will open.

Remove Slides

In the Media Slider Content, hover on the slide’s thumbnail you would like to delete and click the trashcan icon.

Design Editor

To access the design editor, right-click the widget, and click Edit Design. The following are available in the Design tab.

Layout

There are several layout options to select from. Click on the layout thumbnail to see the available layouts.

Transition

• Slide transition. Select Fade or Slide.

• Autoplay.

• Slideshow speed. Move the slider to select a speed between 1 and 20 seconds.

• Pause slideshow on hover.

• Content animation.

Navigation indicators

• Display. Select an option from the drop-down list.

• Size.

• Space in-between.

• Color.

Media & Background

• Display full media. Show media in its original dimensions. Note that this might add additional space to the slider's edges.

• Overlay color. There is also a slider to set Opacity.

• Background color.

Text Style

• Title.

• Description.

Both title and description have options for font, size, color, format, and text direction. There is also an option to reset back to the site’s theme style.

Button

• Button style.

• Button text.

There is an option to reset to the site’s theme for primary buttons.

Frame

• Dimensions, including Full width, Width, and Height. Desktop and tablet are independent of mobile. Dimension changes to mobile should not affect desktop and tablet.

• Border. Click the gear icon to customize the sides.

• Shadow.

• Content Alignment.

Animation

• Trigger.

• Animation.

Spacing

Change margin (outer spacing). Desktop and tablet are independent of mobile. Spacing changes to mobile should not affect desktop and tablet.

Create A Testimonial Text Slider

With the Media Manager widget there are a few options depending on the media you would like to include in your testimonial slider.

To create a testimonial slider without a background image:

1. Add the Media Slider widget to your site.

2. In the Media Slider Content, click Delete all to delete all the default slides.

3. Click Add new slide.

4. In the slide settings add:

   • (Optional) In the Media section, click Click to add media to add a customer’s image.

   • The testimonial content (such as name and testimony).

5. In the Design tab select one of the following layouts (these are the suggested layouts, others may require additional setup):

   • The default layout (best if customer images will not be used). By default, this layout has an image overlay (and background color). This can be edited in the Image & Background section.

   • Customer image is above the testimonial content.

   • Slides transition vertically with image on the left and testimonial content on the right.

6. Edit the remainder of the design settings to the desired configurations.
