Duda supports several Google tools, including Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. Following are descriptions of how to use each.
Your site has a integration into Google Analytics that makes it easy to have website visitors tracked in Google Analytics (and other Google Tracking Tools).
The integration into Google Analytics is based upon Google’s Global Site Tag technology, also known as gtags. This supports several Google-owned tracking technologies. This means you can include your ID for the following Google properties:
-
AdWords Conversion ID (AW-*)
-
Flood Light / Double Click Tracking ID (DC-*)
-
Google Global Measurement ID (G-*)
-
Google Analytics Property ID (UA-*)
If you have not already, you need to create a Google Analytics account, create a property, add a data stream, and set up data collection within your Google Analytics account. To learn how to do this, see [GA4] Set up Analytics for a CMS-hosted website.
To add Google Analytics to your site:
-
In the side panel, click SEO & Settings, and then click the Google Tools tab.
-
Type your Google Analytics code. Note that while Google frequently makes updates, our field is always up-to-date in what it needs to connect to Google.
-
Click Enter on your keyboard to confirm.
The Google Analytics integration implements IP anonymization by default. This means that we do not track IP addresses.
Why are site visits not being recorded?
Following are several reasons your analytics might not be working properly:
-
Your site is not published. Google Analytics only tracks on live sites.
-
You are using an ad blocker that is preventing Google Analytics from recording your visit.
-
It has been less than 24 hours since you set up the integration. Sometimes it takes Google Analytics up to 24 hours to start tracking.
This section explains how to implement Google Tag Manager inside of your site. To learn how to create GA4 tags in Google Tag Manager, see Google's documentation.
To add Google Tag Manager to your site:
-
In the side panel, click SEO & Settings, and then click the Google Tools tab.
-
Type your Google Tag Manager ID. Note that while Google frequently makes updates, our field is always up-to-date in what it needs to connect to Google If you get a “Invalid Google ID” error message, this means your Google Tag Manager ID is invalid or misspelled.
-
Type Enter on your keyboard to confirm.
Next you need to set up and apply triggers to tags, to learn more about this see Google’s Tag Manager documentation.
Following are a list of considerations to keep in mind while using Google Tag Manager:
-
This code will only run on the live published site. You will want to make sure you test it on the live version.
-
We have completed extensive testing and the
body-end.html
section of Developer Mode works for adding the noscript code and default code. -
Do not change the ‘dataLayer’ setting from Google Tag Manager, this will break our custom integration code.

Google rejected my ad campaign because of malicious links or malware. What should I do?
Google Ads occasionally flags clients’ campaigns for having malicious links or software on their site. Our Support team has investigated this many times and found that they are false positives from Google. Unfortunately, this is not something Duda can resolve, but we do have a process we recommend following when working with Google to resolve the issue.
To submit an appeal to Google:
-
Use VirusTotal and Google’s Transparency Report to scan your site for malicious content. Take screenshots of the results.
-
Use Google Search Console to verify your domain ownership.
-
Submit your sitemap to Google in the Search Console.
-
Submit an appeal to Google and send the screenshots of your scan results from step 1.
When Google receives your appeal, they can manually re-crawl your site in order to detect false positives. If your ad campaign is flagged again, contact Google Support.
My ads received a “disapproved” status and I don’t know why.
Unfortunately, this is not within Duda's control, but we do have a process we recommend following when working with Google to resolve the issue.
To fix and resubmit your ads:
-
Check that your ads conform to Google’s ad campaign policies, editorial guidelines, and destination requirements.
-
After you determine what needs to be fixed, edit and resubmit your ads.
If your ads are still receiving a “disapproved” status, contact Google Support.
