If your CNAME record is not propagating, is suddenly down, or does not seem to be setup correctly, it could be due to one of the following reasons:
- It has not propagated yet
- It was not setup correctly
- There was a settings change on the domain side
- DNS settings were reset
- There was a billing issues with your domain host
- It loads on one device, but not on others
Solution
Make sure your CNAME is setup correctly. For more information, see Set Up Your CNAME record. If you recently setup your domain, you may need to wait longer for it to propagate.
Lastly, you may need to contact your domain registrar if:
- You setup your CNAME record but it's still not propagating.
- You can't find these settings on your DNS's control panel.
- Your settings are not being applied.
