Duda’s platform and servers can handle large traffic volume and there is no limit on site bandwidth. However, unusually high traffic to a site in a short period of time may trigger Duda’s security systems and cause a temporary block or outage. This is to prevent sites from malicious attacks.
If you think your site will experience more than 1000 requests per minute, we recommend you contact support a week in advance to let us know. To facilitate this, please provide details regarding anticipated peak traffic dates and the estimated number of concurrent hits you expect. We will take extra steps to ensure your site is able to stay live and available for users.
Duda's security systems protect published sites from unusual automated traffic, which can include third-party crawlers and scanners like site quality or SEO tools. When a tool is blocked, it usually reports a 403 error or a blocked page. Major search engines, like Google, aren't blocked.
Changing your site's robots.txt file doesn't unblock a tool, because Duda's security systems check requests before robots.txt is read. There's also no setting to allow a specific IP address.
To ask for a tool to be reviewed, contact Duda support. Support shares the details with the team for review. Not every tool can be allowed, but the team will look into it. To get started, include the details below. Support may ask for more.
-
The tool's name and what it does
-
Its IP addresses and user agent (the tool's own support team can usually provide these)
-
The URL, date, and time of a recent blocked request
