Customers can purchase their domain directly through Duda, allowing them to manage both their sites and domains in Duda. For SaaS companies that offer a full DIY flow, they can now do it with 1 integration with Duda instead of having an additional integration with a hosting provider.
To purchase a domain through Duda:
-
Open the desired site, then click Publish or Republish to publish your site.
-
Select a site subscription, then click Purchase your site. This is a one year long subscription.
-
Select Get a new custom domain.
-
Type your desired domain and a list of available options populates in the field.
-
Click Get it next to the domain you want to purchase.
-
Complete the required fields with the domain owners information, then click Done.
After selecting your domain, it can take up to 24 hours for your site to become available at your domain and to load properly on all devices.
After purchasing the site domain, you can change the domain, manage DNS settings, or remove the domain. These actions can only be completed by the Account Owner, or the end user if the Account Owner grants them the permission.
To edit the site domain:
-
Click the three horizontal dots icon () on the Domain card and select one of the following:
-
Change domain. To change your domain, you will first be prompted to remove your existing domain from your account by checking a box to acknowledge the removal and subscription cancellation, then clicking Remove & continue. Next, select and purchase a new domain.
-
Manage DNS. Takes you to the Manage Domain section of the hosting platform where you can manage domain settings and view privacy information.
-
Remove domain. Removing your domain cancels your domain subscription but does not unpublish your site. Instead, your site uses the default domain and you will no longer have access to the Domain card on the Site Overview page.
