How do I add Lunchbox Essential Pro to my site?
Download Lunchbox Essential from the app store and access the app through the widgets section of your toolbar. Create an account with Lunchbox and set up your restaurant. Once you’re done, you can drag it onto your main page or as a separate page on your site.
How do I add my menu, modifiers, and pictures?
Through your Lunchbox Essential app, navigate to Menus > Categories. In this section, you can add new menu categories and items, modify your menu, and add pictures. Leverage our quick edit tool to revise prices, names, and descriptions with only two clicks.
Modifiers can be added by navigating to Menus > Add On Groups and creating your add on groups and the choices. After you’re done, you can assign these groups to an item or category.
Can I change the colors, fonts, and header image of my ordering storefront?
Yes. You can customize your branding and schemes by navigating to Settings > Menu Design. In this section, you can update header images, colors, fonts, and templates.
What payment types are accepted?
We allow credit card and cash payment types. Credit card payments are processed by Stripe, a global online payment processing provider.
Why can’t I turn on credit card payments?
Credit card payments can only be enabled after enabling Stripe. You can do this by navigating to Settings > Integrations > Enable Stripe. Follow the steps to integrate with your existing account or create a new account. Any personal information will not be stored by Lunchbox.
How do restaurants receive and manage orders?
There are multiple ways to receive and manage orders:
Web-based admin dashboard. Using any internet-enabled device, log into your Lunchbox account via Duda or Lunchbox to receive your orders through your Lunchbox Essential admin dashboard.
Android tablet. Using any Android device, download our Lunchbox Manager app from the Google Play Store. You can log into your account and receive orders here. We have recommended tablets.
SMS or email. Restaurants can enable SMS and/or email order management through Settings > Restaurant Settings > Preferred Order Receiving Methods.
Are customers notified when orders are confirmed?
Yes, customers can receive two email confirmations from restaurants. First is received when restaurants confirm the order on their tablet or device. Second is received when restaurants mark the order as ready on their tablet or device.
What geographies are supported with Lunchbox Essential?
Lunchbox supports all geographies that are supported by our payment processing partner, Stripe. Please check to see if Stripe supports your country.
Do restaurants have to pay Lunchbox any commission fees?
No, Lunchbox does not charge any commission fees or other hidden fees to restaurants. Through Duda, anyone who downloads Lunchbox Essential will only have to pay $5 per month per location. There is a slight fee of 5% applied to transactions that the consumer pays.
Are there fees to use Doordash Drive for delivery?
Yes. Doordash charges $7 per order for the first five miles. After five miles, they charge an additional $1 per mile. Lunchbox will invoice restaurants for Doordash Drive charges at the end of each month.
How are payments processed?
Payments must be processed through Stripe at a rate of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction for all credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and American Express). Lunchbox works to charge the lowest rates for our restaurant customers. We do not generate revenue from processing fees.
