Disclaimer: Duda Vibe is currently in beta. By using this feature, you acknowledge it is experimental, may contain unexpected behavior, and is subject to modification at any time.
Copilot is the AI chat on the right side of your Vibe workspace. Describe what you want in plain language, and Copilot applies the changes to your project or plans them with you first.
To hide the chat, click the double arrows at the top of the chat panel. To show or hide it from anywhere in the workspace, click the Copilot icon in the top bar.
Before entering a prompt, decide if you want Build mode (for immediate, live changes to your project) or Plan mode (where Copilot discusses changes with you, but won’t apply them until you approve). Use Plan mode to talk through larger changes before they're made.
To choose a mode, click the mode dropdown in the prompt box and select Build or Plan.
There are several options to select an element on the canvas. Click the arrow next to the cursor icon in the prompt box, then select one of the following options:
-
Select an element. Use your cursor to select an element. A label next to your cursor shows which element will be selected.
-
Draw to select. Draw around an item to select it. For example, use your cursor to draw a circle around an image that you want to select and then modify. Then click Add to Chat.
-
Select an area. Select an area of the canvas by clicking and dragging to create a square or rectangle shaped selection.
To provide Copilot with more context and instructions, you can upload files from your computer, select existing files from your Media Manager, or enter a URL to reference. The uploaded content or URL is added to chat where you can provide additional instructions about how to use and interpret them.
Click the plus icon in the prompt box, then under Attach, select Upload files, Media manager, or Link. You can attach up to 10 images per message, and you can also drag and drop or paste files into the prompt box.
To remove media or files from the chat, hover over the item and click the X icon.
In Plan mode, Copilot may ask a few questions before it presents a plan. Answer or skip them, then click Approve to build the plan, or Deny to tell Copilot what to change.
Note
After you approve a plan, Copilot switches to Build mode, so your next prompt changes your project directly.
Some requests need your approval before Copilot continues:
-
Database Schema Change: Copilot shows the database changes it wants to make. Click Apply to make them, or Reject to cancel.
-
Secret Key: Copilot asks for an API key or other secret value your project needs. Enter the value and click Submit, or click Reject. Secret values aren't shared with the AI model. For more information, see Duda Vibe Security Overview.
