To help brand visibility and AEO presence, content suggestions are provided for both content that lives on your site and for content on external platforms such as in search, directories, or on social media.
There are two types of suggestions:

Content suggestions focus on content you can add to your site in order to boost AI visibility and stand out from competitors. For example, a content suggestion may be to write a blog post about a certain topic that has performed well for your competitors.

Off page suggestions focus on actions you can take outside of your website to boost AEO performance. For example, an off page suggestion may be to refresh business category tags in directory listings or make a LinkedIn post about a certain topic.
Note
Your site must be published to receive content and off page suggestions. If you are not ready to publish your site, click Show sample data to see an example of how data is displayed.
Content suggestions focus on topics where your competitors are visible but your brand isn't yet. All the content suggestions are for content that will live on your site.
To access content suggestions, open the site dashboard, click Performance, click to expand Optimization center, then select Content suggestions.
The Content Suggestions page displays a summary of the suggested content, what format the suggested content should be, and impact level from low to high.
Depending on the content suggestion, a specific content type is recommended to best optimize for AEO. Content types include: blog, site pages, and home page.
Blog
A blog post is the recommended format for the following topics:

Informational or editorial content

Ranked lists. For example, “Best X for Y”.

Tutorials or step-by-step guides
-
FAQs
-
Comparisons or alternatives. For example, “X versus Y” or “Best alternatives to X”.
Site Page
A new site page is the recommended format for index pages, topic hubs, and product or service detail pages.
Home page
Content suggestions may identify optimization opportunities on your home page and suggest new content. For example, adding more location-specific details to your homepage that allows AI to associate your business with the city it is located in.
Note this is currently only supported for blog content type. We will add more supported content types in the future.
If you want to take action on a content suggestion, click the pencil icon to begin generating the suggested content. Depending on your permissions, you are either redirected to Copilot or the blog editor. From here, you can refine the prompt as needed, then generate and review the content before publishing it.
Note
Note that both Blog and Copilot permissions are required to create new blog posts.
Off page suggestions focus on opportunities outside of your website where you can boost brand visibility and AEO presence in search, directories, and social media.
To access off-site suggestions, open the site dashboard, click Performance, click to expand Optimization center, then select Off-site suggestions.
The Off Page Suggestions page displays a summary of the suggested content, the platform where the content should live (search, directories, or social), and the priority level from low to high.
