The Brand Positioning page shows how your brand compares to competitors across AI answer engines.
To view brand positioning, open the project dashboard for a site, click Performance, then click to expand the Visibility section and select Brand Positioning.
The Visibility trends chart displays how prominent your brand is in AI responses versus your competitors. Data can be filtered by date range (7, 14, 30, or custom number of days), geographic location, and specific AI models.
The Visibility trends chart includes the following data:
-
Name. Name of the brand/competitor.
-
Mention. The number of times the brand was mentioned in AI responses over the selected time frame and geographic region.
-
Position. What position the brand or its cited links are in within the AI answer. A lower number is better because it indicates a higher position in the AI answer.
-
Visibility. Percentage of AI answers the brand is mentioned in.
The Source mentions chart displays a the total number of chats analyzed, a list of the sources AI engines cite when answering the prompts you track and what percent of total chats they were cited in. This allows you to see where AI is getting its information and where you need to establish a presence.
The Tracked Prompts page shows how your brand performs in AI answers for configured prompts. You can view metrics per prompt and focus on individual prompts to view recent AI chat examples.
To view tracked prompts, open the project dashboard for a site, click Performance, then click to expand the Visibility section and select Tracked Prompts.
The Tracked Prompts page contains the View mentions of table that displays the following data about your prompts:
-
Prompt. The question sent to AI models. Prompts are configured by you on the Configurations > Tracked Prompts page.
-
AI visibility score. The percentage of AI responses that mention your brand when the prompt is used. It is calculated by dividing the number of AI answers that mention your brand by the total number of AI answers.
-
Sentiment. On a scale from 0 - 100, sentiment captures the tone used in AI answers when mentioning or describing the competitor. Most sentiment scores fall between 65 - 85, with higher scores indicating more positive language used by AI to describe the competitor’s brand.
-
Position. Average ranking or position within AI generated responses. Lower is better because it indicates a higher position within the response. For example, if your brand is mentioned second in an AI response, the position is recorded as 2.
-
Volume. On a scale from 0 - 5, the estimated volume of searches for the prompt’s topic in AI answer platforms. A score of 5 indicates a high number of people and 0 indicates almost no people are searching for the prompt’s topic.
Set a date range and filter by geographic location as necessary to narrow the displayed data.
Click a row in the table to open response insights for the specific prompt. Each conversation is displayed on a chat card.
Each chat card includes the following:
-
LLM icon of the AI model that generated the response.
-
The prompt sent to AI.
-
AI response. Note that longer responses are truncated. To view the whole response, click Show more.
-
Logos of sources that are cited in the AI response.
